Duke News recently did a story on the joint Duke-NCCU class that covers Durham’s Black Wall Street. I was enrolled in this class when it was first offered as a Duke only class during the Fall of 2005.

The Southern Documentary Fund will serve as the fiscal sponsor for “The Silver Rights
Movement”!

This announcement provides “The Silver Rights Movement” with a 501(c)3 tax-exempt status .  Now, the production can accept tax-deductible donations!

A brief introduction to The Southern Documentary Fund (SDF):

SDF is committed to helping independent documentary artists produce work in sound, writing, film, video, photography and interactive media… SDF is dedicated to expanding audiences for documentary work and to mentoring artists from rural areas and underrepresented groups.

To prepare for the the Black Student Alliance’s Final Honors ceremonies, I have created this comment space for seniors to provide feedback on what they would like to see in the graduation movie.

The Movie Committee wants to create a short film, no longer than 10 minutes, that provides an entertaining view of our past 4 years at Duke University.

I’ve created two demo reels of the Fall 2005 Projects I completed last semester at Duke University.

Flashlight
The first demo reel is 1 minute long with George Clinton’s “Flashlight.” (Watch Video)

DragonHeart
This is a longer demo reel, 3 minutes, with theme music from the DragonHeart Motion Picture Soundtrack. (Watch Video)
